The strength of a community is measured by the people who care enough to get involved.  The strength of a non-profit organization is bolstered by the financial support of the community in which it serves.
Treasure Coast Hospice along with a multitude of non-profits have been blessed by the generosity of longtime Harbour Ridge residents Bob and Carol Weissman.

Coming from modest beginnings, Bob served in the U.S. Navy, graduated from Boston University, and achieved business success in the high-end fabric industry.  He and his wife, Carol, have seven children and 17 grandchildren.

The Weissman’s feel that they have been blessed with the means to help others. In Bob’s view, “There is no better way to help with the needs of the people in our community than by giving to organizations that do good work. There is no better example of this than Treasure Coast Hospice.”

In addition to giving to charities across the nation, Bob and Carol support dozens of local organizations, including Cleveland Clinic’s Bob and Carol Weissman Cancer Center, Alzheimer’s Community Care, Boys and Girls Club of Martin County, the Council on Aging, the Education Foundation of Martin County, Hibiscus Children’s Center, Helping People Succeed, House of Hope, Molly’s House, Project Lift, Safe Space, and so many others.

In fact, you can mention Bob and Carol Weissman to almost any organization in town and you will be told that they have been generous, trusted supporters for many years.

In 2014, TCH honored Bob and Carol for their longtime support and for the extraordinary provision they have made for us in their estate plan.  By doing so, their incredible legacy of philanthropy will continue to live on, and countless more lives will be touched by their support.

TCH is grateful for the support of The Weissman’s and others who have chosen to become part of the Legacy Circle.
